Residents fuming at bar plan
Furious Springlands residents are hitting out at plans to build a bar in their suburban street.

Property developer Blenheim Central Development Company Limited has filed a resource consent application to build a restaurant and wine bar on a property on the corner of and Middle Renwick Rd and Adams Lane.The 1070 square metre section is in a residential zone.
In its resource consent application, the developer said the concept was to build a bar akin to Chequers in Scott St.
The proposed name for the new bar is Chequers 2.
But Shayne Appleby of Adams Lane said opposition to the proposal was strong among local residents.
