Developer to build 1000 Christchurch apartments in 10 years
Auckland based property developer, Gary Gordon, has set a target of building 1000 apartments in low-rise configurations in inner city Christchurch over the next ten years.

His company, Legacy Corporation, has been active in the Christchurch market for the past year, with four developments now under way, involving a total of 144 units and just under $40 million in value. The four developments are over 60% sold.The 1000 units will be spread over 30-40 developments rather than any high rise developments of 100 units, Gordon says.
Christchurch City Council’s strategic planning includes increasing the inner city population to rejuvenate the inner city economy.
Gordon (30) established Legacy in 2003 after starting his career as a quantity surveyor and construction manager.
