Seminar founder, Jacque Treweek, believes Women into Wealth is dedicated to inspiring women to set themselves up financially. “This may be through providing them with affordable information and education about wealth creation, supporting them to find a house or property, or simply by providing a supportive women’s environment in which to gain the independence to grow financially.“Women into Wealth has identified that women often face more barriers than men, such as lower income, and responsibilities to children. Therefore women need to find other ways to leverage themselves. Having affordable information and resources is one of the services we have begun to provide.”
The conference and its cause attracted speakers from some of New Zealand’s leading financial and property services, including Sheryl Sutherland from Christchurch-based Women’s Financial Strategies, Sharon Giblett from Diamond FP, Anton Nadilio from My Money Mentor and Getrude Matsche, author and motivational speaker. Matsche recently arrived in NZ from Africa with three children and only $500, and has successfully set up three businesses, including one in real estate.
Treweek expects the venture to expand beyond Wellington.
“Women love property, whether it be their own home, or one they can rent out, so opening up new approaches to purchasing property was a real highlight.”
