There is an overwhelming feeling of positivity and optimism for property investors this year.
In 2015 we saw a mixed bag of changes.
Auckland sale prices went through the roof, there were high net immigration rates, a raft of regulatory changes, historic low interest rates, a ripple effect spread from Auckland to the surrounding regions, and overseas investors were restricted from investing in New Zealand property.
Investors are feeling optimistic that the accumulation of all these factors will work to their advantage in 2016 – certainly for those who are willing to diversify their portfolios.
But what do our industry leaders think?
This month NZ Property Investor magazine spoke to a selection of key property players who gave us their views on where we are in the property cycle and what to expect over the coming year.
