The Financial Planning Standards Board will develop long-term strategies for the global financial planning profession at its annual meeting in Thailand next week.
FSPB owns the international Certified Financial Planner mark, which is used by 175,000 advisers in 26 countries, including New Zealand.
Financial Advice New Zealand chief executive Katrina Shanks will be representing New Zealand at the events. She says it's a excellent opportunity for her, as the new association CEO, to learn about what's happening internationally in financial planning,
The meeting will also agree on priorities for the FPSB network centered on FPSB’s LASER strategy, and participate in a full-day summit focused on financial planning technology (#FPtech),
It's Laser strategy (Leadership, Awareness, Standards, Engagement and Recognition) is an ambitious course to establish financial planning as a global profession and the CFP marks as the global symbol of excellence in financial planning.
