FMA's review of insurers pushed back
Friday, November 23rd 2018, 2:54PM
The Financial Markets Authority says its culture and conduct review of life insurers remains ongoing.
"While we aim to have all work completed on this report by the end of the year, we now plan to release the report at the end of January, rather than publishing the findings just before Christmas."
The regulator has also welcomed the move by a number of life insurers to end offshore conferences as part of the soft commissions they offer advisers. "We set out our concerns about soft commissions and the potential conflicts of interest they pose in a report published earlier this year."
