NZFSG said Chapman has over 17 years of legal and compliance experience in the global financial services sector.
Her most recent roles include head of conduct & compliance, compliance & audit with ANZ, and legal and compliance roles at ANZ Wealth and ING/OnePath.
According to Chapman's LinkedIn profile, she has also held the role of senior adviser at consultancy firm The Compliance Company.
The new hire holds a law degree and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2003.
NZFSG said Chapman would "not only be responsible for building a strong compliance culture within the business, but also ensuring NZFSG meets their regulatory obligations".
She joins the adviser group February 22, and will work with Keri Ball-Guymer, NZFSG's head of customer outcomes.
