It speaks to their dedication in providing life insurance solutions that create true value for their clients.

Abacus Group is Taranaki-wide with clients all around the maunga, they have built intergenerational relationships over many years of providing trusted advice with regular reviews.

Abacus's processes have been constantly updated and improved with clients in mind. In particular, the technological advancements of the last few years make it smoother and easier than ever to provide clients with quality meaningful insurance that caters for their needs long term.

Embracing change and constantly upskilling in all areas of advice Nolly and Toon were among the first in New Zealand to gain their NZ Certificate in Financial Services qualification and have both completed Open Polytechnics FSCE19 to ensure they meet the conduct standards within the new regulatory framework. They also gained their full FAP licence back in July 2021.

Scott Crocker joined Abacus Group in 2021 and is this year’s winner of the Financial Advice NZ Rising Star Award – Insurance. “We love seeing new clients being regularly introduced to Abacus and watching Scott add value to their businesses and families,” Nolly says.

“Any good business needs to replenish its client base with new people. The way we look after our clients of all ages is by having a vibrant company that new clients want to be part of.”

After 25 years in business together Toon says; “We have a genuine empathy that means trying to put yourself in each other’s shoes in every decision you make, big or small. It’s one thing to be in business for 25 years but as a partnership it's about integrity, reliability and accountability, and our clients benefit from that as much as we do. It’s been a heck of a ride so far and whatever the next 25 years brings, we’re confident that Abacus is equipped to meet the challenges ahead.”
