Westpac follows ANZ and puts up rates; Avanti snares top banker

Westpac has followed ANZ and raised its home loan rates. It is the second bank to move after the Reserve Bank raised the official cash rate by a 75 points last week.
As with ANZ, Westpac is pushing its floating rate up to 7.99%. Its two-year special fixed rate goes up to 6.69% and its two-year standard rate goes up to 7.29%. See how it compares to ANZ here
