Adviser roadshow for nib new life and living product

Nib will hold adviser roadshows in 15 locations during May to launch its Life and Living Insurance products for adviser and group channels. Life, mortgage and investment advisers are expected to attend.

by Kerry Meadows-Bonner

The launch is the first step in nib’s entry into the life and living insurance market for advisers and employers. The Life and Living Insurance product will appeal to advisers with clients looking for a simple, lower cost insurance option.

Nib’s head of adviser distribution Chris Carnall says there has been a lot of work behind the scenes to make this possible.

“In April 2022, we kicked off a major project to separate Kiwi Insurance (now nib nz insurance) from the Kiwibank customer systems.”

“We will soon be able to offer the nib Life & Living Insurance product through the adviser channel. We’re also developing a range of fully featured life and living products for the adviser channel, but that’s a little way off,” he says.

Nib’s Life and Living Insurance comprises life cover, serious illness trauma cover, income protection illness cover and complimentary funeral expenses cover. The application process will be separate to the existing and their health application process through nibAPPLY. Group Life and Trauma Insurance is also available for employers.

Advisers’ training will commence June 1 2023.
