More pain; ANZ hikes; TAP hires

More mortgage pain on the horizon. [READ ON]
ANZ has followed ASB and increased fixed rates, but it has chosen to make one small cut too. All its standard fixed rates from one year or longer are up between 6 basis points at the shorter end and 20 points for two, three, four and five years.
The Special rates to rise are just one year, 18 months, two and three years and they have increased by the same margins as standard rates
ANZ’s six-month home loan interest rate is being cut by 10 basis points, to 7.09% on special or 7.69% standard.
