Former Partners Life managing director Naomi Ballantyne has taken on the role of an independent director at TAP Group, the parent company of The Adviser Platform.

Ballantyne brings over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry, including founding and leading Partners Life, retiring recently as managing director. "

Her depth of strategic direction and market knowledge will be invaluable in supporting TAP Group's mission of driving better outcomes for financial advisers, so great advice is accessible to more New Zealanders," the group says in a statement.

"I'm excited to join TAP Group and contribute to their mission of empowering financial advisers to deliver exceptional outcomes for New Zealanders," Ballantyne said. "Throughout my career, I’ve proudly spearheaded some positive changes that have done great things for New Zealanders. I aim to continue that, helping the group stay ahead of the ever-changing insurance landscape and drive innovation that benefits the industry as a whole. I'm looking forward to working with the team to make a meaningful impact."

TAP managing director Ryan Edwards says; "Her expertise will be instrumental in helping us build on our services and enhance our strategy. With Naomi's guidance, we'll continue to innovate and improve our offerings, supporting the growth and success of independent financial advisers.”
