Mosaic promotes governance, risk and compliance expert to director role
Fnancial services consulting firm, Mosaic FSI, has promoted Damian Lawrence to Director, Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC).
Mosaic FSI founder, Myles Allan, said the promotion recognises “Damian’s successful delivery of client projects as well as his strong contribution to the firm’s GRC capability and the business more broadly”.
“He will continue to deliver pragmatic, high-quality advice to Mosaic clients across governance, risk, compliance, conduct and regulatory change as well as taking on additional business development and relationship management responsibilities,” Allan said.
He said client demand for GRC support has been rising amid an increasingly demanding regulatory and governance environment across both New Zealand and Australia.
Lawrence joined Mosaic in 2023 as a principal consultant after an almost 10-year stint at ASB in senior compliance and regulatory roles in a wide range of sectors from retail banking to financial advice.
Previously, Lawrence spent more than three years at the-then ASB life insurance subsidiary, Sovereign, in senior GRC positions.
“His deep experience across the industry has given Damian a practical understanding of the challenges faced by financial services organisations and the importance of delivering solutions that are commercially sound, proportionate and customer-focused,” Allan said.
