NZ sharemarket rises as US Fed slashes rates

The S&P/NZX 50 Index had a rocky session but closed at 12,12,665, up 78.02 points or 0.62%. The S&P/ASX 200 Index was up 0.59% to a record high of 8,189.8 points at 6pm NZ time.
