Finsbury Growth & Income Trust’s (FGT) good performance has continued during the last year with FGT outperforming its benchmark, the FTSE All-Share Index, by 7.6% and 6.9% in terms of price total return and NAV total return respectively. The fund has an experienced investment management team and uses a bottom-up strategy to invest in quality companies that are then held for the long term. There is a strong focus on businesses with strong franchises that are well managed, which are held for the long term. FGT maintains a focused portfolio of 25-30 stocks with low turnover (c 6% per annum), which is moderately geared and aims to have an above-average dividend yield. The fund has an experienced management team and uses a bottom-up strategy to identify what the manager considers to be undervalued UK-listed companies.
