Executive portfolio manager interview

Genesis Emerging Markets Fund (GSS) was launched in July 1989 and was one of the first emerging markets funds to be listed in the UK. It aims to deliver long-term capital growth through investing in emerging and frontier market equities following an in-depth fundamental approach. The fund’s benchmark is the MSCI Emerging Markets Index. However, the manager is not constrained by the benchmark and focuses on investing in high-quality companies with above-average sustainable long-term growth. The portfolio reflects the manager’s highest-conviction stocks and is typically meaningfully different from the benchmark. Today, the fund is positioned to capture the long-term consumption theme in emerging markets through a collection of high-quality, well-managed companies from across the global emerging and frontier market universe.
In this webcast, partner and portfolio manager, Rufus Frazier, explores why emerging market businesses are more exciting today than historically. He explains where he is finding the most exciting investment opportunities in emerging markets and which countries and industries are exciting at the moment.
