"Deepak's strong analytical abilities an his extensive network of contacts within the New Zealand market place make him a natural for private capital," AMPAM head of private capital Martin Turner says.
Gupta is to take a particular interest in identifying partnering opportunities within applied technology companies. Rather than investing with dot.com companies, AMP Private Capital and its technology joint venture Caltech Capital Partners have a stong focus on applied technology companies who are preparing for future growth.
