Farmers’ Mutual Group has appointed Don Armstrong to the newly created position of regional manager, financial planning for its Central Region.“We have experienced very strong growth in demand from our clients for financial planning over the past 12 months and, as a consequence, needed an expanded team of experienced specialist staff in the field”, says Graeme Thomas, Farmers’ Mutual Group’s general manager, distribution.
Armstrong, who was formerly Farmers’ Mutual Group Area Manager, New Plymouth, will service the Central Region, which covers the southern half of the North Island, from New Plymouth through to Gisborne, and takes in Nelson and Marlborough in the South Island. FMG uses salaried advisers to deliver financial planning advice through its branch office network.
Armstrong joined Farmers’ Mutual in 1996. Prior to this he was training manager for AMP in Auckland.
