Monday, June 18th 2001, 2:07AM
Morningstar has appointed Ross Weavers to head its New Zealand business.
Weavers is probably best-known for his role as manager of Guardian Assurance's New Zealand equity fund during the 1990s.
After Royal & SunAlliance bought Guardian Assurance Weavers worked at sharebroker Ord Minnett (now JP Morgan).
At Morningstar he will be responsible for research and business development operations.
