Walker gets Brown

Walker Capital Management (WCM) has appointed Craig Brown to the position of portfolio manager.Brown’s role will include portfolio management, investment research and management responsibilities.
Brown, who will have an ownership interest in WCM, will take up his new position on October 23.
WCM founder and managing director Stephen Walker says: “I am delighted that Craig has chosen to join Walker Capital Management. There are very few people in New Zealand that have Craig’s experience and expertise in investment management and company research.”
WCM is a boutique asset manager, specialising in the management of New Zealand and Australasian share portfolios, mainly for institutional investors. Based in Auckland, WCM began business on October 1, with a mandate to manage $85 million for Tower Asset Management.
Walker and Brown were formerly with AMP Henderson Global Investors.
