New partner at PWC financial planning

Brent Procter has been appointed as a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, effective July 1. He leads the firm's New Zealand financial planning practice, which has a national team of 15 staff.Since entering the financial planning industry in 1988, Proctor has been with PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) for 10 years. He is well known as the "Money Doctor" from the ANZ Money Doctor television series, and for his monthly column on financial matters for "Your Home & Garden" magazine.
His appointment reflects the firm's strong growth in its financial planning practice during the last five years, which includes offering specialist advice to high net worth individuals, business owners and executives. The service is well-positioned to meet growing demand, with the recent appointment of new staff in the country's metropolitan cities.
