New sharebroking firm

Former Forsyth Barr man Andrew McDouall has established his own sharebroking and investment banking business in Wellington.The new company, McDouall Stuart, specialises in investment banking services including mergers and acquisitions, and corporate financing. The company also provides retail sharebroking services for the New Zealand and Australian equity markets, and is a member firm of the New Zealand Stock Exchange.
It has nine staff and offices in Christchurch and Melbourne, as well as Wellington. An office is due to open in Sydney soon.
The company's executive director is Chris Stone. He was previously a senior equities analyst with JP Morgan after earlier being with New Zealand Oil & Gas as a senior geophysicist.
