Gallacher becomes Mercer principal

Mercer Investment Consulting has appointed John Gallacher as a Principal.Gallacher has many years of experience in portfolio management, client relationship management and economic analysis and forecasting.
Prior to joining Mercer, Gallacher gained valuable experience in the financial markets sector, where he held senior roles as Portfolio Manager, Strategist and Director of Economics with various local investment firms. He also brings a very high degree of competency in research, having previously held senior roles at both the New Zealand Institute of Economic Research and the Reserve Bank. Gallacher has a Masters degree with Honours in Economics from the University of Canterbury.
Gallacher’s first day of work with Mercer Investment Consulting will be Monday, 6 January 2003. He will be based in Wellington.
