Spicers has conditionally agreed to purchase Sterling from Dorchester Pacific Limited as part of its strategy to continue to increase their penetration into the financial planning market. Spicers is already one of New Zealand’s largest financial planning firms and the alignment with Sterling will further strengthen this position.
“It seems natural for Spicers and Sterling to align themselves” says Ralph Stewart, head of wealth management for Spicers. “We see the two companies as similar in the way they run their businesses with a strong client focus and professional financial advisers. The combined business will share the extensive knowledge base, technology and resources of the two companies to further enhance the service we offer to our clients”, he said.
Spicers and Sterling are amongst the most established financial planning businesses in New Zealand. The merging of these two companies will see an even stronger national representation with a network of financial advisers from Invercargill to Kerikeri.
