New ceo at Morningstar

Morningstar has appointed chief operating officer Scott Cooley as chief executive for the Australian and New Zealand businesses effective immediately.He fills the position left vacant when Graham Rich was asked to leave the company late 2001.
Cooley joined the Australian office from the US recently. Initially Cooley was appointed to replace Daisy Chee as head of research, as well as chief operating officer, in December last year.
In the US Cooley served as editor of Morningstar Mutual Funds and covered several of the industry's largest mutual funds, including those of Fidelity and Vanguard.
Morningstar Inc international division president, Bevin Desmond, in Australia for the announcement, said: "He has in-depth knowledge of Morningstar's products and capabilities, and I'm confident he'll be a great success working with our management team to bring all the benefits Morningstar has to offer to Australian and New Zealand investors and their advisers."
Rich is still involved in legal action with Morningstar regarding his dismissal.
