New actuary chair

Geisler is the corporation's chief actuary.2001. He becomes NZSoA president for a one-year term, taking over from Mark Weaver of Melville, Jessup, Weaver Consulting Actuaries.
Previously he was chief actuary with AXA in Wellington. Before moving to New Zealand in 1994, he held senior management positions with National Mutual Insurance Company in Montpelier Vermont, USA.
He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (US) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
