FPIA's new independent directors named

The nine-member FPIA Board saw three changes made at the FPIA Council meeting held in Wellington on February 26. The changes also reflected some changes to board structure (mainly the inclusion to two independent members).Departing members were:
The new board structure consists of President (appointed by progression), Vice-president (elected by previous board), two College chairs and three Practitioner directors (all five elected by the Council), plus the two independent directors. The independent directors are appointed by the council on the recommendation of the appointments committee which comprises the president, vice-president and the immediate past president). The new Board takes office on April 1, and its first meeting will be in Wellington on May 7.
