New cio for ANZ National Bank

Kevin Armstrong has been appointed to the new role of chief investment officer with the ANZ National Bank Limited.Armstrong will be responsible for coordinating investment management activities across both the ANZ and The National Bank. He will chair the National Bank’s Private Banking Investment Committee and review all investment management activities of the ANZ and National Banks - including managed funds and private banking.
Armstrong was previously chief investment officer for National Bank Private Banking for two years. He has made regular presentations to clients and written many newspaper columns.
Before moving to New Zealand in 1997, Armstrong worked for Merrill Lynch in London for 16 years - including four years as head of US Institutional Equity Sales.
