Changes at Goldman Sachs JB Were
Tuesday, November 9th 2004, 7:10AM
Goldman Sachs JBWere Asset Management has recently undertaken a review of its Australian managed fund retail business operations in New Zealand and has decided to close its business development function, currently held by Martin Allison.
"Martin has worked hard to uncover opportunities in what has proven a challenging marketplace in which to build a strong funds management business".
Goldman Sachs JBWere Australian Asset Management group will no longer have a full-time presence in New Zealand, it will now service advisers and investors directly from Australia.
Although Allison's role has disappeared he is still with the company. Yvette Wilson will be responsible for applications, redemptions and management of the intermediary client database. New Zealand advisers will be provided access to the company's Melbourne-based Adviser Services team.
