Super Fund appointments

The New Zealand Superannuation Fund, the Crown entity created to partially provide for the future cost of superannuation, has made two appointments.
Gareth Hedges has been appointed manager research analyst. He will work closely with the Fund’s CIO Portfolio Construction, Tim Mitchell, to identify and evaluate potential external investment managers. Hedges joins the Fund after six years with Mercer Investment Consulting in London and Auckland.
Glenn Read has been appointed head of strategic projects. He joins the Fund after 12 years in Frankfurt and London, where he worked in project roles within the investment banking and asset management arms of JP Morgan, Commerzbank, Merrill Lynch, Dresdner, Saloman Brothers, Lazard Asset Management, Cantor Fitzgerald and Schroders.
