Former BT Funds Management chief executive Craig Stobo has joined the board of Fisher Funds management.
Also chairman Brian Corban has resigned from the board and has been replaced by current board member John Wells. Wells is chairman of merchant bank Bancorp Holdings and Sport and Recreation NZ (SPARC), a Crown entity. He is also a director of a number of organisations including listed company, Baycorp Advantage, and the Marsh advisory board.
Brian Corban has been the chairman since the company was formed in May 1998 and has decided to retire after a six-year term to focus on his extensive business interests.
Wells said that Stobo's “experience and skills will complement the expertise of the existing directors and will ensure that the company is well placed to explore the growth opportunities that lie ahead.”
Fisher Funds has more than $360 million in funds under management. The board now comprises John Wells, Carmel Fisher (managing director), Warren Couillault, Hugh Fisher and Craig Stobo.
