Solly moves to Goldman Sachs

Thursday, January 12th 2006, 2:47PM
Shane Solly is leaving ING to take up a role as investment manager at Goldman Sachs JB Were.

He will be taking over the role previously held by Paul Harrison. Harrison is leaving New Zealand to live in South Africa.

At ING Craig Tyson is taking immediate responsibility for ING’s property portfolio, and Mark Brown joins Amanda Smith in managing ING’s Trans-Tasman equities portfolio.

Solly has been with ING for six years and had responsibility for the company’s listed real estate mandate.

Together with Smith, he was also responsible for Trans-Tasman equities.

Tyson has been working in the team as a research analyst, but has previously worked as both a portfolio manager and sell-side property analyst. Brown, who joined ING in 2002, has been performing the role of Head of Research. Brown has previously worked in equity research and portfolio management roles, most recently as a Director with HSBC Asset Management.
