John Palmer appointed to AMP Board

AMP Limited has appointed John Palmer as a non-executive director to its board.Palmer, who is based in New Zealand, will bring to the board an extensive range of commercial experience at both executive and non-executive level.
Palmer currently sits on the AMP Life board, a position he has held since May 2004. He was previously a director on the AMP Bank Board (from 1998-2003).
His other external board positions include the chairmanship of Air New Zealand, director of Rabobank Australia and chairman of Solid Energy.
He has received a number of awards and recognition for his achievements, including as an Officer of the New Zealand Order of Merit for service to the New Zealand kiwifruit industry.
