New chief investment officer for Arcus

Arcus Investment Management is delighted to announce the appointment of Peter Verhaart to the role of chief investment officer.With over 19 years of industry experience, Verhaart is well known in the investment community, having spent eight years with Mercer Investment Consulting where he was most recently head of investment consulting and a member of the senior leadership team. At Mercer, Verhaart was responsible for providing strategic investment advice to corporate clients, charitable trusts and superannuation scheme trustees. Prior to Mercer, Verhaart held roles at ANZ Funds Management and Watson Wyatt.
Verhaart will be responsible for leading Wellington-based Arcus, which specialises in the management of multi-manager and fund-of-fund investment portfolios for a wide range of wholesale and retail clients. A subsidiary of AXA New Zealand, Arcus is the fund manager behind AXA's KiwiSaver offering.
Verhaart will take up his role towards the end of August.
