Guardian Trust appoints Charities manager

Friday, April 18th 2008, 6:00AM
Guardian Trust has appointed Louise Carroll to the role of manager, process developments, charitable trusts for the newly-formed Centre for Philanthropy. Carroll will be responsible for developing the knowledge base for Guardian Trust, which supports the Centre by presenting clients interested in a particular sector with information on relevant charities.

Carroll joins Guardian Trust from a role as high risk contracts specialist at the Ministry of Social Development, and has garnered extensive experience in non-governmental organizations in Australia and in New Zealand, where she has worked for the Drug Rape Trust of New Zealand and the KIDS Foundation.

The creation of the knowledge base has Carroll working directly with charities to generate information which can be used to pair philanthropic donors with charities or causes matching their objectives – anything from medical research to sports facilities.
