Curtin now deputy at Commission

"This appointment recognises the valuable contribution that he has made at the commission and his experience in applying economic and financial analysis to regulatory decision-making," Commerce Minister Lianne Dalziel said.
Curtin succeeds David Caygill, who stepped down as deputy chairman upon his appointment as Electricity Commission chairman.
Curtin is a current member of the Commerce Commission. He is also a monetary policy adviser to the Finance and Expenditure Select Committee, managing director of Economics New Zealand, and chairman of the boards of Public Trust, and Mint Asset Management. He previously headed various business units at the Bank of New Zealand, including private and personal banking, and financial institutions.
