Cull continues at ING

In the wake of ING's restructure of its funds management division it is understood about 15 jobs will be lost.

Thursday, March 26th 2009, 5:23PM

An ING spokesperson confirmed that a number of existing jobs have been “disestablished” while several new roles will be created as a result of the restructure.

“During the restructure we have identified some areas of duplication,” the spokesperson said.

This week ING also revealed its head of funds management sales, Wayne Becker, had resigned after 12 years with the company. Becker's departure followed on from the resignations of Steven Giannoulis, former ING head of marketing, and Peter Buttle, ING Life head of distribution.

Both Giannoulis and Buttle continue to work under contract to ING while Becker has been tipped to return in a new role with the ING-associated financial planning dealer group services firm, Strategi.
