DNZ Property Fund has appointed Brook Asset Management founder Simon Botherway to its board as it looks at ways to raise new capital.
DNZ Property Fund hired Goldman Sachs JBWere to review its capital management strategy, including asset sales or capital raising opportunities such as listing on the New Zealand stock exchange as a means to boost its balance sheet.
Chairman Tim Storey said Botherway brings capital market experience to the company’s board. Botherway stepped down as executive chairman of Brook last year and was recently appointed to the Securities Commission. He is currently a director of Fisher & Paykel Appliances.
DNZ is the former Dominion Funds property business associated with Money Managers.
