Friday, January 29th 2010, 3:32PM
Andrew Bird is stepping down as chief executive of Morningstar Australasia but will stay on in an advisory role.
Morningstar has started a search for a new CEO.
Bird took over running the business in 2006 after Morningstar acquired equite research house Aspect Huntley.
Bird founded Aspect Financial in 1997, which merged with Huntleys' Investment Information to form Aspect Huntley in 2003.
Bird says he has invested in a few early-stage companies outside of Morningstar and is now ready to turn more of his attention to these other interests.
