Jon is well known throughout the industry, having served in a number of roles with different insurance companies. Prior to re-establishing himself as a broker and joining Planet in 2003, John was the National Sales Manager for Fidelity Life. His knowledge and background will be invaluable to the Board as it drives the 5-year plan it unveiled at the conference.
In a further move the incumbent chairman, Keith Walter, announced his intention to 'retire' from the Board within the next 24 months, and stood down as Chairman to make the transition as seamless as possible. In his place the Board named Lyndon Bray, Planet's independent director, as the new Chairman. Lyndon will commence immediately in this role while Keith will continue in an important business relationships and administration role and ensure the smooth phase-in for the new General Manager who is yet to be appointed. He will also ensure that progress is made on delivering to the business plan, for which he was primarily responsible.
