Sovereign founder joins TNP board

TNP has announced that Chris Coon, Derrick Abbott and Jonathon Cron will join the TNP board of directors.

Wednesday, June 16th 2010, 11:07AM

Chairman and managing director Jeff Page says TNP's carefully considered appointments indicate that TNP is not about to slow down, or make any compromises of support. They head towards another year of expansion.

"The introduction of the trio to the board is in keeping with their mantra of adding value and support to advisers businesses."

Page says Coon's phenomenal success in setting up Sovereign in the late 80's brings to TNP a huge amount of knowledge and experience and Abbott's commitment to the board of TNP proves that the management of TNP respects and values the input and feedback they receive from their Adviser members.

He says Cron will represent all the TNP Adviser shareholders as an independent Director.

"His experience in running NZ Trustee Services will bring an immense amount of experience to the board, Cron is the advocate for the members," says Page.

The newly appointed are all excited about joining the board.

Coon says he feels excited to return to the financial services industry, working with a strong group of professional friends.

Abbott says "It provided me with an exciting opportunity to be part of such an innovative and creative business at a board room level".
