NZ Asset Management appoints principal and chairman

New Zealand Assets Management (NZAM) has appointed Greg Peacock as its new principal and director and Andrew Clements as chairman.

Tuesday, September 14th 2010, 6:00AM

Peacock (pictured right) comes to NZAM after 18 years at Clime Asset Management, the investment arm of New Zealand's Spencer family.

For the past 16 years, he was investment manager at Clime. This strengthened the research capabilities at the firm, which has an emphasis on providing absolute returns through global equities in the US, Europe and Asia.

Peacock has a Bachelor of Engineering (Chem) with first class honours from Canterbury University

Clements (pictured left) was previously managing director of Emerald Capital, a Canadian-owned equity investor in New Zealand.

Clements is principal of private investment company Zeus Capital. He is also chairman of healthcare IT company Orion Health and director of NZX-listed companies Ryman Healthcare and New Zealand Refining Company. He is also a trustee of the Graeme Dingle Foundation.
