Brook Asset Management has appointed Stuart Graham to its investment team as a senior research analyst, bringing with him more than 20 years of industry experience.
Graham has spent time in senior research and corporate advisory roles with several large investment groups, along with a period in the US providing financial consulting services.
Brook managing director, Mark Brighouse, says Brook is making this addition to its team at a time when sharemarkets are presenting compelling investment opportunities for clients.
"We are delighted that Stuart is joining us at Brook, with his appointment bringing us to an investment team of five experienced and highly skilled professionals," says Brighouse.
"This is a timely addition to our team, as the recovery from the global financial crisis continues to gather momentum, supported by a low interest rate environment."
He says on recent research trips to Australia and the USA, areas of opportunity were identified which are emerging in a number of market sectors, along with other areas where selective investment remains necessary.
"While our portfolios have remained defensively positioned in recent times, the current environment has created attractive opportunities in cyclical investments which our team is focused on assessing on behalf of our clients."
