IFA conference relocates to Wellington
The Institute of Financial Advisers (IFA) has moved its conference from Christchurch to Wellington, though the July 13-15 dates remain unchanged.

Chief executive Peter Lee said IFA wanted to keep the conference in Christchurch and they had held back on the decision whether to relocate for as long as possible, but "a number of factors mean that it is no longer feasible."
The conference is now set to take place at the Michael Fowler Centre, with the Old Town Hall the venue for the gala awards dinner.
Lee said they had been fortunate in a busy conference year to obtain an alternative venue on the original date, enabling them to keep the planned line up of speakers.
The conference will also feature the return of separate business session streams focusing on investment, risk, specialties and practice management, a new repeat business session for investments, risk and practice management streams and a new Investment and Risk Masterclass for IFA members only.
He also said IFA would be bringing back the official conference charity to raise funds for the family of deceased member Adam Fisher, through the Adam Fisher Memorial Fund.
