Plus4 adds two
Plus4 Insurance Solutions has announced the appointment of Grant Uridge as board chairman and Roger Adams as director.
Wednesday, April 20th 2011, 5:00AM
The two will join Alan Bradnock, the group's founder, and Peter Rickards on the board of the national insurance adviser and broking group.
Uridge said, "Plus4 has elected to take a very different approach to the larger dealer groups. While we have experienced significant growth over the past three years, we're not pursuing growth as an end in itself. Instead, we've elected to focus on building enduring client relationships based on well-researched advice and client service."
Established back in 2008, the group now has more than 20 advisers working from nine locations. The group is not affiliated to a specific insurance provider and offers advice tailored to individual and business client requirements, primarily working with small to medium sized enterprises, their owners and their accountants.
"Given that Plus4 are essentially a co-operative, we are very careful about who joins the group making sure they share our values and have the necessary experience and expertise, because each adviser has an equal shareholding in Plus4."
Uridge has more than two decades of experience in the New Zealand financial services sector, and before becoming an adviser in 2000 held senior positions at leading rural insurance company FMG and with unit trust company Joseph Banks Trust.
Adams also boasts two decades financial services experience prior to establishing his own consultancy . At Plus4 his focus will be on wealth management, investment planning and providing clients with effective insurance solutions.
