McLeish has returned to New Zealand after an extended period working with global investment houses in London, to take up the role of Senior Portfolio Manager for the Fisher Fund Kiwisaver Conservative Fund and the recently launched Fisher Fund's High Income Fund.
Typically the portfolios under his management will include bonds issued by governments and large corporations seeking funds through the debt market. Local examples include fixed interest bonds recently offered by Auckland City Council and Fonterra. “I expect our investment mix will be about 20-30% in New Zealand with the balance in overseas markets.”
