Nadine Tereora has been appointed to this key role. She joins Asteron Life from AIA New Zealand where she has been chief operating officer. In that capacity, she has been responsible for managing both the claims and underwriting portfolios at a strategic level.
Tereora has 18 years experience in the insurance industry. She has previously held senior roles at Sovereign and PrefSure Life (Sydney).
Asteron Life managing director David Carter says the creation of the role reflects the critical part claims and underwriting play in reinforcing Asteron's brand strength.
"We are committed to entrenching claims and underwriting as a key competitive advantage for Asteron," Carter says.
