Entrepreneur, Sharon Hunter, and investment banker, Lance Jenkins, have joined the board as non-executive directors. These appointments complement wider changes in the business designed to enhance its ability to deliver highly specialised investment planning, the company says.
Spicers offers tailored investment solutions and highly personalised service enabled by a nationwide network of advisers. As well as its Qualifying Financial Entity (QFE) status, all Spicers’ advisers are Authorised Financial Advisers (AFAs) .
Spicers chairman and AMP general manager marketing and customer sales, Blair Vernon, says each Hunter and Jenkins bring substantial experience in investment planning and growing businesses to the company.
Last year the company appointed Chris White to the role of managing director. "White, brings specialist expertise and experience in managing people and change, which is critical to driving future service improvements following a strategic review of the business to position Spicers for ongoing success as a leading wealth manager," Blair says.
Jenkins says under AMP's ownership Spicers has new opportunities to build on its proven and trusted reputation in wealth management.
“With our enhanced governance and management team in place, we’re very excited about building on this track record,” Vernon says.
