FMA chairman reappointed
Commerce Minister Craig Foss has reappointed the FMA chairman to another 18 month term.

Simon Allen has been reappointed as chairman of the Financial Markets Authority for another 18 months.
Commerce Minister Craig Foss says Allen "has been very successful in guiding the FMA through its initial period of operation."
“Over this time, the FMA has gained credibility from the public and the industry and has delivered on its role of rebuilding confidence in our financial markets following the global financial crisis," Foss said.
Allen is the current chairman of Crown Fibre Holdings and Auckland Council Investments. Previously, he was the chairmain of NZX.
