University boss gets Reserve Bank role
Rod Carr, the vice-chancellor of the University of Canterbury, has been appointed chairman of the Reserve Bank.

He is a former deputy governor of the bank and will replace Arthur Grimes on September 18.
Sue Sheldon remains deputy chair.
The board monitors the Reserve Bank governor's performance and has to assess whether his monetary policy statements are in line with policy targets.
